Shadowbringers

Ala Mhigo is at last free from imperial rule, but that liberty may prove fleeting as the Empire moves to reclaim this bloodied nation and subjugate all of Eorzea.  In their hour of need, however, they cannot turn to the Warrior of Light.  Nor to the Scions, who yet slumber, their souls adrift.  The realm is left to struggle without its saviors, for they have been beckoned beyond time and space to the First.  Here a new adventure begins in a world where light ushers all unto oblivion.  But hope is not yet lost, for where there is light there is shadow.

The brave and majestic steed that’s always been at your side, ready to help at the blow of your whistle – of course, we speak of the mighty chocobo! These trusty companions endure quite a bit of hardships on a daily basis; riding through dangerous landscapes, dashing through hordes of monsters, avoiding treacherous falls, and all the while carrying you and your stuffed-to-bursting inventory around! It’s about time adventurers pay some homage to these friendly domesticated creatures of Eorzea. We call upon the adventurers around the world to, using the medium of your choice, create an artistic rendition of a chocobo. It can be a drawing, a delectable dessert, a hand-crafted piece of art -- the sky is the limit, so be creative and get to wark!

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test - Now Recruiting Testers! (01/07/2013)

In preparation for the upcoming launch of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn on Windows PC and PlayStation 3, we are looking for enthusiastic players to take part in the beta test.

Players who met the Legacy campaign requirements can participate in the beta test starting from phase 1 and are not required to apply. However, we ask players who wish to participate in the PlayStation 3 beta test to apply for it.

If you applied to be a PlayStation 3 beta tester for FFXIV Version 1.0 and were selected to test the Windows version instead, you need not apply again to test the PS3 version—your original application will be reconsidered when we start selecting PS3 testers. However, if you wish to be considered as a Windows PC tester, we ask that you apply specifically for that.
